The evening will be attended by a host of special guests, political figures
and special guests.
Barber will join the likes of Sir David Attenborough, David Dimbleby,
Dame Ann Leslie, Sir David Frost, Dame Jenni Murray, Sir Michael Parkinson, Jeremy Paxman, Clare Balding & founding member
Sir Harold Evans as winners of the prestigious accolade, which will be presented as part of a special programme of events celebrating the organisation's 45th anniversary next year.
The award was launched by the late Russell Twisk - who held the post as Editor of The Listener - who presented it
to its first recipient Alistair Cooke in 1994.
There will be heavy demand for tickets for this special evening, and numbers are strictly limited.
